During a public hearing, Habitat for Humanity Sarasota executive director Mike Jacobson told the commissioners that Sarasota Memorial Hospital intended to donate "at least $500,000 and possibly more" to the agency he oversees. He said the money would go toward building Habitat homes for low-income buyers in the proposed condo development the commissioners were previewing.
